Charlottetown police have charged a 20-year-old Charlottetown area woman in connection with an armed robbery at the Needs Convenience store on Euston Street early Wednesday morning.

Police said a woman entered the store shortly before 2 a.m., threatened the clerk with a syringe, and demanded cash.

A video of the suspect was put up on the police website, but that didn't lead to the arrest. Police said officers out on Queen Street Thursday night saw the woman. She was arrested without incident.

She will remain in custody until her next court appearance Friday.
