Arrest at campground leads to drug charges

Two people arrested at the Linkletter Campground face several drug-related charges.

RCMP seize drugs and cash from truck driven by man wanted for outstanding warrants

East Prince RCMP arrested two people Monday night at the Linkletter Campground, near Summerside, P.E.I.

The man and woman face several drug related charges.

Police said as part of an investigation, they stopped a truck driven by a man who was wanted for outstanding arrest warrants. Police said they searched the vehicle and found a large quantity of drugs, including prescription pills, methamphetamine and marijuana. They also seized a large amount of cash.

The two appeared in court Tuesday morning and face charges of possession for the purposes of trafficking and possession of stolen property.

The man was also charged with refusing the breathalyser.
