RCMP are investigating an armed robbery at a gas station in New Annan, P.E.I., Saturday evening.

Just before 9 p.m., East Prince RCMP were called to the Irving Gas Bar after a man walked in and threatened the clerk with a weapon demanding cash. 

The store's attendant was not injured but the suspect escaped with an undisclosed amount of money. 

Police are not saying what weapon was used.

RCMP are continuing to investigate and expect to have more information available about the robbery on Monday. 

This is the second armed robbery in a week on P.E.I. On Tuesday, an armed suspect robbed the North River Shell gas station and made off with a small amount of cash.
