Two new anesthetists have been recruited bringing the province up to its full complement, says P.E.I. Health Minister Doug Currie.

"The addition of Dr. Mohamed Hassan and Dr. Andrew Roberts to our health care system should help alleviate patient wait times for surgical procedures and enhance patient care," said Currie.

Hassan began working at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital last week. He and his family have relocated from Truro, N.S.

Roberts begins work at the Prince County Hospital in early July. He is currently finishing his residency training at the University of Ottawa where he served as chief resident of the anesthesia group.
