Jack's New (Self-Ordained) Title
By Janyce McGregor, CBC News

NDP Leader Jack Layton. (Sean Kilpatrick/Canadian Press)
On Twitter, the national director for the NDP has chosen a new title for Jack Layton:
bradlevine: More results for working people from the Leader of the Effective Opposition http://tinyurl.com/kn4zgu
This phrase was used to describe Layton in a left-friendly blog posting (by someone else) as far back as October 2007, but it's interesting to see it resurface as the NDP and the Liberals change roles in terms of supporting-opposing the government in confidence votes.
The spin war is on to define/re-define each leader's leadership role in the eyes of the public.
