It's easier this time around
Posted in Political Bytes Posted on May 1, 2009 03:45 PM | PermalinkAndrew Ignatieff is enjoying this liberal convention much more than the last one he attended.
Michael Ignatieff's younger brother worked on his brother's first leadership campaign and was in Montreal for the convention that chose Stéphane Dion as leader.
He says this gathering is much easier on him (and his brother) and he is enjoying sitting back and watching his brother enjoy himself at an event that will acclaim his as liberal leader.
Andrew admits he is surprised at how quickly and how easily his brother has grown into the role. (Ignatieff's first campaign featured several missteps and left critics arguing he was not ready to be leader).
Andrew says he is thrilled for his brother's success and, while he "always expected many glories for him," he hadn't expected to see him choose a life in politics.
