Well connected
Liberal MP Keith Martin was intrigued by Barack Obama's ability to connect using new technology tools.

Martin was impressed with how easily americans were participating in the political process, so he had a volunteer who worked on Obama's campaign bring back the techniques used by Obama's organizers.
The key tool is viral messaging basically spreading a message quickly to thousands.
Martin is working with grassroots Liberals helping to rebuild the party and he plans to make use of Obama's techniques to connect Canadians with the policy making in Ottawa.
And of course he will be relying heavily on this tool to increase his own vote count. Martin barely hung on to his seat. After the recount he is a mere 68 votes ahead of his Tory opponent.
