Is that what they really mean?
Party war rooms are quite literally factories for getting messages out via press releases, advisories and so-called reality checks.
But sometimes in the haste to get the messages out mistakes are made.
Who can forget the Conservative release titled Paul Martin Supports Child Pornography? It was dispatched to reporters across the country during the 2004 campaign.
This election hasn't seen any major gaffes, but small slip-ups have gone unchecked by party editors before the send button was pressed.
Take a Liberal press release issued this morning for example.
"Since the NDP platform was released on September 29, Liberals have released an uncosted promise every day."
Liberals claiming they are issuing uncosted promises every day? Somehow I don't think that's what they meant.
