Proliferating puffins
The puffin theme lives on.
The Liberal tour spent the morning in Newfoundland and Labrador, home of the puffin.
Last week the Liberals got a boost when Conservatives showed a puffin pooping on the Liberal leader on a Tory website. The Prime Minister apologized and the offending poop was removed.
Now puffins have a place on the Liberal plane.
Rico Pradal runs the teleprompter for Stéphane Dion's speeches. While in St. John's, he did some shopping. He bought a stuffed puffin and a piece of clay art featuring a dozen puffins by local artist Lisa M. Rowe.
He's going to ask the leader to sign it.
"I normally would just ask him to sign a poster or some other campaign literature, but this is too good," he said, holding up the colourful piece of art.
