PQ leader hospitalized
The leader of the Parti Québécois, Pauline Marois, is in hospital today recovering from appendicitis.
She was supposed to appear with Bloc Leader Gilles Duceppe to help launch his campaign.
Both are natural sovereigntist allies and the PQ political machine is used extensively by the Bloc in federal elections.
It was originally thought that she had food poisoning.
She is recovering well at Montreal’s Lakeshore Hospital on the West Island.
This is a very Anglo part of the city and already political analysts are joking that this will only improve her English!
