Nomination culmination, media musings
There's only a few hours before the final submission of nominations must be made to Elections Canada. Monday at two to be exact.
In Toronto Centre there has been a last minute change.
The Conservatives say they've accepted the resignation of Chris Reid. The new Conservative candidate is David Gentili.
Mr. Gentili worked most recently in Prime Minister Harper's Office.
Gentili's Facebook page features a picture of him with Harper.
The page also features this quote from Stephen Harper: "The [national] press is owned by big-L liberals and staffed by small-L liberals. Preston was too cerebral, Stock was not cerebral enough. I’m not sure where I will be. But the media will always be on the other side."
