Camera crews and photographers were not allowed to capture images of Stephane Dion leaving his broken down plane Tuesday night.
Dion's staff broke the pool protocol that crews leave the plane first to be in place to take pictures.
For three hours the leader, his staff and the media were stranded together in the Air Inuit 737.
When the replacement - a PorterAirlines Bombardier-made Q400 - arrived, crews took the usual position; poised and ready to hurry off first.
But Dion's staff wanted to avoid an embarrassing image so the crews were barred from leaving until Dion was on the rescue plane.
In fairness, we did get a photo of Dion getting off the Porter jet in London.
Complete with a wave.
