Getting to the bottom of things
The Liberals are trying to pry open the doors of the Government's internal security investigation into the NAFTA leaks.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper has vowed to "get to the bottom" of the leaks that called into question US Presidential hopeful Barak Obama's views on NAFTA.
Liberal MP Navdeep Bains has written to the man heading up the inquiry, clerk of the Privy Council Kevin Lynch, with several questions.
Bains wants to know if Lynch will be questioning Ian Brodie, the prime minister's chief of staff, and Michael Wilson, Canada's Ambassador to the US.
Brodie has been identified as one of the sources of the original story by a CTV journalist, and another CTV journalist confirms he spoke with Wilson before airing the story.
Bains also wants to know when Lynch expects to conclude his investigation and if it will be made public.
CBC asked similar questions to a representative of the Privy Council office, but received no reply.
