Pre-election spending?
Among other things, the federal government loves winter festivals.
It's been a flurry of spending over the past three weeks from the feds, with most of the action coming from Heritage Canada.
Close to 11 million has been announced for more than forty organizations across the country.
It's all for carnivals, festivals, city centennial and winter celebrations.
Things like the Town of Renfrew, Ontario's 10th anniversary, or the Yukon Sourdough Rendezvous Society and the Festival des Glaces de St-Gédéon and Mid-lent Celebration on L'Isle aux Grues.
Is it reminiscent of something?
How about the type of funding the Liberals made preceding the 2006 federal election?
