Young woman in hospital after Quebec crash
Driver, 20, ejected from car after crashing off Highway 307 in Cantley, Que.
A 20-year-old woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries after her car went off the road in Cantley, Que., north of Gatineau.
MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais police say a man in Cantley called 911 at about 1:15 a.m. Saturday when he heard someone shouting.
Police later found a car deep in the ditch just off Highway 307 near Chemin Beaupré. Soon after, they also found a woman in a stream nearby. They suspect she was ejected from the car when it crashed.
The woman was taken to a hospital in Wakefield before she was transported to Hull Hospital. Police say she suffered serious injuries, but they are not considered life threatening.
Police have also taken a blood sample to determine if alcohol was a factor. There was only one vehicle involved and the woman was the only person injured.
