Young Ontario man dies after crash east of Ottawa

Ontario Provincial Police say a 20-year-old man from Clarence-Rockland died after his vehicle flipped early Sunday morning.

A 20-year-old eastern Ontario man died after his car flipped into a ditch east of Ottawa.

Ontario Provincial Police say a driver passing by spotted a 2002 grey Chevrolet Malibu flipped over in a ditch along Henri Road in Saint-Pascal-Baylon, Ont., which is in the Township of Clarence-Rockland.

Police received a 911 call at about 3:17 a.m. Sunday and they found the driver at the scene.

Xavier Ladouceur-Rochon, 20, of Clarence-Rockland was declared dead soon after, police said.

Police also said the victim appeared to be alone in the vehicle.

Possible factors include alcohol and not wearing a seatbelt, and an autopsy is scheduled for early this week.
