Worker electrocuted in Gatineau tree-trimming

A 45-year-old man was electrocuted while pruning trees in the backyard of a home in Gatineau's Hull sector.

A 45-year-old worker was electrocuted in Gatineau while pruning a tree.

Police say the man was working for a tree-trimming company at 105 D'Auvergne Street in the city's Touraine neighbourhood when the incident happened at about 12:15 p.m.

He was working in the home's backyard.

There was a resulting power outage in the area due to the electrocution.

Police and the coroner's office are investigating.
