A 39-year-old woman was airlifted to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries after she rolled her car in Rockland, east of Ottawa.

Ontario Provincial Police responded at about 6:15 a.m. Thursday to a single-vehicle crash on Duquette Road between Pilon and Brazeau roads.

They found a vehicle in the ditch, which had rolled. The driver, who was the only person inside, was freed by Clarence-Rockland firefighters.

She was then airlifted to hospital, police said.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash. They have also closed Duquette between Pilon and Brazeau.
