Theme park auction marks Storyland's last chapter
Two 12-foot-high fibreglass rabbits, Cinderella's coach and horses and the cow that jumped over the moon are some of the items up for sale at an auction of memorabilia from Storyland, the Renfrew, Ont., children's theme park that closed in 2011 after 45 years in operation.
Colin Latreille Auction Services is selling off the memorabilia as well as the property and home on 793 Storyland Rd. in Renfrew, about an hour west of Ottawa.
Other items up for bid in the auction include rides and restaurant equipment used while the park was in operation.
The auction is scheduled for Sept. 21 at 10 a.m. at the site of the former Storyland amusement park.
