A 23-year-old Ottawa man out on bail after being arrested on a string of human trafficking charges is wanted by police for failing to appear at his preliminary hearing.

Taylor Dagg is believed to be in the Ottawa-Gatineau area.

Dagg was arrested in September 2013 on charges including trafficking in persons, material benefit resulting from trafficking in persons, forcible confinement, uttering threats to cause bodily harm, intimidation by threats of violence and theft under $5,000.

Police said the investigation began in July 2013 after a public complaint. A second man was arrested in the same case.

Dagg now faces two outstanding warrants with the Ottawa Police Service: a first instance warrant for breach of recognizance, and a bench warrant for failing to appear at his preliminary hearing.

Dagg is described as a slender man with dark eyes, and short, curly black hair. He may have a thin moustache. He is about five-foot-nine and weighs about 150 pounds.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Ottawa police at (613) 236-1222 ext. 5166, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
