Ottawa police are investigating after a 12-year-old girl in the Chapel Hill area of Orleans said a man touched her inappropriately while she waited for a school bus Tuesday morning.

Police said the girl was on her way to her bus stop in the Boyer Road-Hunter's Run Gate area when a man she had seen and spoken to before approached her.

She told police the man touched her inappropriately prior to her bus coming, police said. The girl ran off, got on the bus and the suspect left the area, police said.

School officials were alerted and police were immediately called.

The suspect was not located.

Police described the man as in his 60s with white hair and wearing blue jeans, a black coat, brown shoes and a black hat. He wore glasses and spoke English. He was walking a medium-sized beige dog at the time of the incident, police said.
