'Sudden death' in central Ottawa neighbourhood not suspicious

Ottawa police say a “sudden death” in the Centretown area overnight is not considered suspicious.

Police and paramedics say they responded to a house at 470 Cooper St., near Wallingham Private, where a man’s body was found with life-threatening injuries at about 1:20 a.m. Saturday.

The man was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Police said the death is not suspicious. They have notified the man's family and the victim's name won't be released.
