A 47-year-old man was shot in the leg in a drive-by shooting near the Aylmer Marina on Thursday night, Gatineau police say.
The man had been walking along the sidewalk on Principal Street, near Front Street, when he was stopped by two young-looking men in a red or orange Pontiac Sunfire at about 9:30 p.m.
The passenger then pulled out a handgun and fired twice at the man, police said, hitting him in the leg.
The victim's life was not in danger, police said.
The suspects are described as two men, about 18 to 19 years old.
The investigation continues. Gatineau police spokesman Sgt. Jean-Paul Le May said Friday morning that police did not yet have a motive, and did not yet know if the victim and the suspects knew each other.
