Police are asking for help after an alleged attempted abduction of a 13-year-old girl in Marmora, Ont., east of Peterborough.
The girl was approached by a man in a white pickup truck as she got off her school bus on Highway 7, on Friday afternoon, and was heading home.
The man described by police as being " in his late 50's, tall, long white and grey moustache, yellowed teeth, wearing a ball cap and a plaid shirt," asked the teen to get into the truck.
He told her he had candy and a dog.
Police said a small dog was seen in the man's lap.
When the girl refused, police say, he "became angry, swore at her and then pulled away ..."
The OPP say have gotten several calls and the investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Central Hastings OPP by calling the OPP Communication Centre at 1-888-310-1122.
