Suspect in Ottawa-Gatineau police chase arrested

Gatineau police have arrested a man they say was involved in a police chase from Ottawa to Gatineau early Tuesday morning.
Police said at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday there was a collision in Ottawa between a Toyota Rav4 and another vehicle. Ottawa and Gatineau police pursued the vehicle into Gatineau but broke off the pursuit at Saint Jean Bosco Street for safety reasons.
The vehicle had been reported stolen in Laval, Que., on Monday.
On Thursday morning, police said they spotted a vehicle with the same licence plate and vehicle description at a motel on St. Joseph Boulevard.
A 31-year-old man was arrested and is expected to face several charges in court today.
