Man charged after Transitway armed sexual assault

An Ottawa man faces sexual assault and weapons charges after police say a woman was a victim of an armed sexual assault in a Transitway station.
Ottawa police say a woman was approached by an armed man at 4:30 a.m. Sunday and attacked.
An OC Transpo special constable interrupted the alleged assault and police were called. The man was arrested at the scene.
He faces multiple charges, including:
- Sexual assault with a weapon.
- Intimidation by violence.
- Two counts of breaching an undertaking.
- Two counts of breaching a probation order.
He is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
