Police are asking for the public's assistance in tracking down Alex Kyeyune, wanted in connection with the Dec. 29 robbery of an Ottawa taxi driver.
Police continue to search for 20-year-old Alex Kyeyune, who's wanted in connection with a knifepoint robbery of an Ottawa taxi driver at the end of last year.
On Dec. 29, a taxi picked up three men at a pub on Riverside Drive. When they arrived at a plaza near McCarthy Road and Downpatrick Road, one of the suspects produced a knife, police said.
One of the men grabbed the driver and demanded cash, then all three fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
The driver wasn't injured.
While Kyeyune remains at large, police believe that he is still in the greater Ottawa area.
On Monday Joshua Cortez, 23, turned himself in and was charged with robbery with an offensive weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon and assault. Similar charges face Kyeyune.
A third suspect was questioned by police and later released without charge.
