A Kingston, Ont., man has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of his estranged wife, almost three months after she was found dead at a residence in Trenton, Ont.

Police arrested 35-year-old Stephen Beszterczey on Friday. He faces a charge of first-degree murder.

The body of his estranged wife, Carolin Beszterczey, was discovered at a residence in Trenton, Ont. on Sept. 24.

The 48-year-old woman was last seen by neighbours on Sept. 21, walking her dog.

An autopsy revealed foul play was involved.

The accused is due to appear in court by video on Monday.
