Elderly man facing sexual assault, interference charges
Girl complained to mother that she had been inappropriately touched, police say

A 75-year-old Ottawa man is facing sexual assault and sexual interference charges after a child complained to her mother that she had been inappropriately touched.
The incident happened in the 2000-block of Jasmine Crescent, off Ogilvie Road in the east end.
The child's mother called 911 on Saturday around noon and police made an arrest.
Aden Omar Barreh appeared in court Sunday morning and was remanded in custody pending a bail hearing next week.
The investigation continues.
