Pregnant women in south Ottawa collision

Two pregnant women and an elderly woman were taken to hospital after a two-car collision on Bank Street in south Ottawa.
Paramedics, firefighters and police responded at 10:53 a.m. after the collision happened on Bank between Blais and Rideau roads.
Firefighters had to extricate the passenger of one car, a woman who is two months pregnant. Paramedics said she suffered a possible fracture of her pelvis and she is in serious but stable condition in hospital.
The driver of the vehicle, a woman who is eight months pregnant, was treated for minor injuries and she was taken to hospital for assessment.
The driver and lone occupant of the other car, an 80-year-old woman, had minor injuries to her chest and she was taken to hospital where she is in stable condition.
Ottawa police are investigating the collision.
