Autopsy set for human remains found near Calabogie

Human remains were found by a passerby in a wooded area near Calabogie, Ont., OPP said. (Ashley Burke/CBC)An autopsy is scheduled for today into human remains found in a wooded area near Calabogie, Ont., about 100 km west of Ottawa.
Officers from the Ontario Provincial Police emergency response team combed the area for two days after the remains were found Sunday at 3:35 p.m. near the intersection of Norton (County Road 34) and Calabogie roads.
A passerby found the remains on public land while using it for recreational purposes, police said, near the shore of Calabogie Lake.
The OPP's criminal investigations branch is treating the death as suspicious.
The remains have not been identified pending the autopsy.
About a dozen officers were working at the scene, the CBC's Ashley Burke reported.
