Woman sent to hospital after 2-car crash

A woman in her early 20s was transported to hospital after a two-vehicle crash in Centretown.
Firefighters, paramedics and police officers all responded at about 1:15 a.m. Sunday to the intersection of Metcalfe Street and Gladstone Avenue for a crash between a small sedan and a Cadillac.
The impact of the crash sent both vehicles spinning off the road onto the sidewalk beside an apartment building. The collision also knocked down a utility pole knocking out power to the traffic lights.

Paramedics brought her to hospital in stable condition with minor injuries to her hip and upper body.
The driver of the Cadillac refused treatment and nobody from the small sedan was assessed for injuries.
Ottawa police continue to investigate.
