2 displaced after highrise apartment fire

Two people have been displaced from their apartment after a fire broke out in a highrise building in Carlington Saturday morning.
The fire started in a closet on the 10th floor in unit 1003 at about 10 a.m.
Firefighters said multiple 911 calls reported smoke in the building at 1465 Caldwell Ave., near Merivale Road.
It didn't take long to put out the flames, firefighters said. The 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th floors had to be ventilated due to the smoke.
No one was injured.
Damage is estimated at about $15,000, and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
