An 18-year-old motorcyclist has been sent to hospital with serious injuries after he collided with a school bus in west Ottawa.
Paramedics were called at about 2:10 p.m. Thursday for a crash near the intersection of March and Carp roads in Kanata.

Paramedics treated the man for serious head injuries, as well as pelvic and internal injuries. The man was conscious, though.
He is now in hospital in serious condition. There were no children aboard the bus, but only a bus driver and student bus driver in training, firefighters say.
Firefighters told the CBC's Kristy Nease the motorcyclist rear-ended the school bus as it idled at train tracks. Another school bus approached and the driver of that bus helped pull the motorcyclist out from underneath the first bus.
March Road is closed in both directions between Carp Road and Donald B. Munro Drive as police investigate.
