Jack Tobin granted full parole

The son of former Newfoundland premier Brian Tobin has been granted full parole after last year pleading guilty to impaired driving causing death.
John "Jack" Tobin had pleaded guilty in May 2011 to killing friend Alex Zolpis, 24, on Christmas Eve 2010, while he was driving in an above-ground parking lot in Ottawa.
After serving six months of his three-year sentence, Tobin was granted day parole in March of this year.
The Parole Board of Canada confirmed Thursday that Tobin has now been granted full parole.
Under the conditions of his parole, Tobin must still avoid bars, not consume or purchase alcohol or non-prescribed drugs, and not own or operate a motor vehicle for the length of his full sentence.
He must also attend psychological counselling.
Tobin is currently living in Ottawa.
