Ontario Provincial Police once again canvassed residents Thursday for information in the 2011 hit-and-run death of Jessica Godin in Fournier, Ont.

The 18-year-old was found on Sept. 24 last year in a ditch on Du Parc Street in Nation Township.

An autopsy indicated the injuries she sustained and where she was found were consistent with being struck by an eastbound vehicle on the street.

Nearly one year after her death, OPP headed back to the scene between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Thursday to talk to anyone who may have had more information about Godin's death.

Police believe someone can provide information that would help solve the case.

Godin had been living at a friend’s house in Casselman, Ont., before her death. OPP said she left a home at about 6 p.m. on Sept. 22 and was last seen alive that day in Fournier between 7 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.

So far, police have conducted 90 interviews and have completed more than 200 assignments to try to identify anyone responsible.

The province continues to offer a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Godin's death.
