Ottawa police seek crash suspect in Nova Scotia

Brandon Gaul is wanted on five charges in connection with a 2009 fatal crash in Ottawa. (Ottawa Police Service)Ottawa police are asking for help from Nova Scotia residents in tracking down a man wanted in connection with a fatal crash from nearly three years ago.
Brandon Gaul, 26, is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant on a charge of impaired driving causing death, two counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm and two counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
Police believe he is in the Annapolis County-Middleton area of Nova Scotia, where they say he may be working at a tattoo business.
Ottawa police said on Nov. 1, 2009, at about 5 a.m., a Volkwagen Jetta travelling southbound on Island Park Drive in Ottawa left the road, struck a tree, flipped over and caught fire.
Four men in the car — all between the ages of 21 and 23, were taken to hospital with serious injuries. One of the passengers died as a result of his injuries.
Gaul is described as five feet nine inches tall with a muscular build and short red-blonde hair. Police said he walks with a limp.
