An Ottawa man will be charged after a head-on crash on Highway 307 north of Gatineau.
Police in west Quebec say the crash happened between two cars at 6:44 p.m. Tuesday in Val-des-Monts, Que.
Police said a vehicle driven by a 28-year-old man from Ottawa struck another car. He and the driver of the other car — a 64-year-old woman from Gatineau — were trapped in their vehicles for a long period of time, police said.
Firefighters extricated both drivers, and paramedics took them to hospital in Hull. The woman had fractured both her legs.
The injuries are not considered life threatening.
The man will be charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm and impaired driving causing bodily harm.
Hwy. 307 was closed for a time as police investigated. It has since re-opened.
