Firefighters battled a blaze at a log home just outside of Richmond, Ont., Sunday morning.
The fire was first reported at about 10:40 a.m. when a homeowner at 6872 Mansfield Rd. dialled 911 and told dispatchers his home was filling up with smoke.
The man said he was using a garden hose to fight the fire on the main floor. He and another person inside the home later fled.
It took firefighters an hour to bring the blaze under control, but crews remained on scene after 11:40 a.m., tearing into the two-storey home's walls to make sure the fire hadn't spread.
No one was hurt.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
