Ottawa police are investigating after a man wielding a knife robbed a bank in Orleans Tuesday shortly after noon.

Police said the man entered a bank at about 12:23 p.m. in the 3800 block of Innes Road, jumped the counter while brandishing a knife and demanded money.

He was given cash and a dye pack in a bag and he fled out the back doors of the bank.

The dye pack, containing a deep red dye, deployed as he fled, according to witnesses.

Police released a photo of the suspect, who was wearing a T-Shirt wrapped around his face.
