Temperatures on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will reach the 30s, according to CBC Ottawa climatologist Ian Black, but feel much hotter. (The Canadian Press)

The mercury is rising and the humidity is making things sticky.
Wondering how long this heat wave will last? Looking for ways to keep cool and safe?
CBC Ottawa chief climatologist Ian Black and paramedic spokesman J.P. Trottier offered some advice on staying safe in the heat wave and what to expect weather-wise.
Ian Black says temperatures during the heat wave will reach the 30s but it will feel like weather in the 40s.
