Police probe suspected arson in Hunt Club

Ottawa police are investigating an early-morning blaze on Plante Drive near Hunt Club Road and the Airport Parkway that firefighters believe was an arson.
Evidence of flame rising up the front door can be seen at 1070 Plante Dr., where police are investigating an arson. (CBC)Firefighters were called out to 1070 Plante Dr., at about 3:30 a.m. Monday, where flames were spotted rising up the front door of a two-storey house.
Another fire began in the garage and worked its way up into the attic.
Fire crews quickly doused the flames.
The home is currently under renovation.
Fire department spokesperson Marc Messier said firefighters believe arson was the cause of the fire.
