Open and closed on Family Day in Ottawa

Here is a list of what you can and can't do on Family Day in the nation's capital:
OPEN
- Rideau Centre (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and the Byward Market stores.
- Rink of Dreams at city hall and other historical sites.
- OC Transpo is running on a revised weekday schedule.
- Many private fitness centres and city recreational centres operate on revised hours.
- All malls and centres in Gatineau.
- Multi-residential garbage pickup goes ahead.
- Federal government offices including post offices.
CLOSED
- All other malls (Bayshore, St. Laurent, Place d'Orleans).
- Rideau Canal.
- Banks.
- Grocery stores.
- LCBO and beer stores.
- Libraries.
- All City of Ottawa client service centres and the provincial offences court.
- Provincial courthouse.
- City-operated childcare centres.
- No curbside garbage or green bin pickup.
