Daycare workers in Gatineau, Que., and the Outaouais are staging a one-day strike Wednesday as part of a rotating work stoppage across the province this week.
Workers began marching from Robert Guertin Arena at 11 a.m. in a second day of strikes in the region.
Area daycare workers also went on strike Feb. 10 in a province-wide walkout. Many workers bused to Montreal to join a united march.

It was the second work stoppage since last week, as 100 daycares were affected during a one-day strike Feb. 6.
The workers are looking for their first contract in two years. Vacation days and wages are the main issues in negotiations.
More daycares are expected to strike Thursday in other regions of Quebec.
