CBC Ottawa's Share Central raises more than $25K

Ottawa residents donated more than $25,000 Friday for a local homeless youth centre at CBC Ottawa's annual holiday fundraiser.
Share Central 2011, held this year at Ben Franklin Place, raised $25,330 for Operation Come Home, a local charity that provides support to homeless youth in the community.
People donated by calling in to a phone line or donating online throughout the day, including during the airing of Ottawa Morning and All in a Day, both radio programs were broadcast live from Ben Franklin Place.
While the phone lines closed at 6 p.m., people can still donate online here.
The festivities included storytelling from CBC Ottawa hosts, a lunchtime skating party, kids activities and live music from Capital Vox, David Francey, Kool Krys and Natalia & Montuno.
