Barry Stratton was flying the 1969 Cessna Cardinal 177 home after an 11-day trip to Florida and the Bahamas and back with his good friend Jacques Domey. Stratton planned to land the plane at Ottawa's MacDonald-Cartier airport, many believe, but a combination of bad weather and other unknown circumstances caused the plane to crash.
