The old Bank of Montreal building on Wellington Street is to undergo renovations next year. But for now the vacant building's main tenant is a collection of artworks.

From water to rail

The tower on top of the Château Laurier holds a hidden, giant steel water tank and below the hotel is an old tunnel that used to connect with the first railway of its kind in Canada run by the Grand Trunk Railway. The Château Laurier was billed as the railway's flagship hotel.

Hidden burial grounds

MacDonald Gardens Park was once home to one of Ottawa's largest graveyards, and many of the bodies remain there to this day. It's not the only place in Ottawa that was once a graveyard.
