Worker injured after fall

A construction worker is in serious condition after falling more than 20 feet into a mud construction pit while working at the Saudi Arabian Embassy.
The worker fell just after 9:30 a.m. at the embassy on Thurston Drive and suffered injuries to his head, neck and back, Ottawa paramedics said.
Emergency crews rescued the 31-year-old man from the pit and immobilized him before transporting him to hospital, where he was in serious but stable condition on arrival.
