Lahey child porn plea expected Feb. 3

The case of a Roman Catholic bishop facing child pornography charges has been put off again until Feb. 3, when he's expected to enter a plea.
Raymond Lahey was charged in September with possessing and importing child pornography —10 days after he was detained by customs officers at the Ottawa airport upon arriving aboard a flight from Britain.
He did not appear in court on Wednesday morning.
Lawyers from both sides will meet privately with a judge on Jan. 26 to map out a hearing process.
Police said they found hundreds of files and dozens of videos on Lahey's laptop, many of them showing young males engaged in sex acts.
The 69-year-old Lahey — who stepped down as head of the Roman Catholic diocese in Antigonish, N.S. — has been staying with other priests in Ottawa since he was granted bail Oct. 1.
