Video footage helped police identify two suspects in an attack on a cab driver, Ottawa police said Tuesday.
The Blue Line Taxi driver was sent to hospital with head injuries early on the morning of July 17.
The cabbie was dropping two men off at the corner of Elgin Street and Gladstone Avenue when an argument started. Police said the driver was then attacked.
A video camera in the cab helped officers identify two men who then turned themselves into police on Tuesday morning.
A 23-year-old man has been charged with aggravated assault and a 26-year-old man has been charged with aggravated assault and two counts of breaching probation.
Both men are to appear in court on Wednesday.
Police said the taxi driver was still in hospital, but in stable condition.
